Sports Clubs

Here at Paulton Infant School we are delighted to be able to invite external, professional, qualified coaches to run some after-school clubs for our Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. These clubs are run from 3:00pm to 4:00pm and each term we are able to offer 20 places on a first come first served basis.

Year 1:

Multiskills

Every Tuesday, Jonathan Green, an independent sports coach runs a Multiskills Club where children are able to improve upon their balancing and coordination whilst also learning essential skills for sporting activities. This club runs throughout the year in the School Hall and when weather permits the club is taken outside! Children wear their school P.E. Kit.

Year 2:

Football

Every Monday is Football Club, this is run by Active Development. The club runs throughout the year, often taken outside on the Junior School field and during bad weather in the Infant School Hall. Children may bring their football kits from home for this club and we recommend shin pads, football socks and suitable footwear.

Year 2 Football Club.

Year 2 Football Club.

Gymnastics

Every Wednesday is Gymnastics Club, this is run by Petra Burgess of Burgess Professional Coaching. This club runs throughout the year and is always held in the School Hall. Children can wear their P.E. Kit.

Look out for Zumba Club starting in Term 3!

Creative Clubs

(Children from both Year 1 and Year 2 are invited to attend).

Cookery Club

Every Monday Miss Clarke and Mrs Dando run a Cookery Club for our budding chefs. Keep an eye out for what is on the menu for Term 2.

Art Club

We are lucky to have the talents of local artist Michelle Cattanach to help with our Tuesday Art Club. She has lots of great ideas for Christmas crafts, including hand print reindeers, clay Santa ornaments, paper plate angels and Santa and Elf masks.

Book Club

Every Thursday in the school hall we hold ‘Book Club.’ This is the chance for you to save up for a brand new book! Send your children to school with 50p or a £1, get a stamp and when you have saved enough money you can come and choose a new book! You don’t have to send in money every week, just when you can. Books will be available to choose every Thursday straight after school in the hall, when you have saved enough for one book, you can start saving for another!
