Picnic and Play Event 28th April 2016
Once again we had a fantastic time at our annual Picnic and Play event. The weather was kind to us and we had a fantastic time playing with our new scrap, dressing up, taking part in outdoor art, playing in the sand and in the mud kitchen!
Picnic and Play Event 22nd April 2015
Thank you for your support on our Picnic and Play day on the 22nd April which proved to be a huge success. What a great way to launch our outdoor play and learning! We had mud kitchens, water play, den building, ball games to name but a few of the many events. The weather was kind and we were able to enjoy our picnic outside.
Thank you for filling our Playtime boxes with things for the children to play with. Any more donations will be gratefully received!
Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL)
Play makes up 20% of children’s time at school, therefore we believe playtimes should be a happy time which contributes to the physical and emotional health and well-being of all of our children, ultimately leading to a better approach to learning and enjoyment in school!
This is why we are participating in the OPAL project, a mentor supported school improvement programme to improve the quality of our play at Paulton Infant School.
To find out more please come to our Stay and Play event on Wednesday 22nd April where you will have the opportunity to join in some play with your children, stay for a picnic lunch and find out more from Michael Follett!
