Key Stage 1
Term 5 - Inventors and Inventions

Welcome to Term 5! We hope you had a lovely Easter and have managed to enjoy the sunshine. We are really looking forward to getting our teeth stuck into inventing this term. It is such a broad topic that can engage so many of our skills. As historians we can learn about famous inventors; as scientists we can test properties of materials; as artists we can sketch designs; as engineers we can build our creations; as animators we can make short films. Our creative juices will be flowing!
Please see your classroom door for swimming dates and other information. Do please sign up to help with swimming/forest school/reading if you are DBS checked and can spare some time.
Topic webs, newsletter and homework sheets will soon be uploaded to this page.
Term 4 - Rumble in the Jungle

We are really enjoying our topic 'Rumble in the Jungle'. On our jungle day the school was filled with a veritable menagerie! Creatures from monkeys to lions, sloths to leopards roamed the corridors. We even had a banana! Over the course of the term we will expand our knowledge of wild animals and their habitats culminating in a trip to the Wild Place Project in Bristol. This is sure to be a fantastic day and will really help bring children's learning to life.
