A strong home school partnership supports your child in being happy and confident in school and achieving well. Our school enjoys very strong partnerships with parents.
These begin before your child starts school through our new parents evenings and opportunities to visit and see our school in action. For families moving to the area and pupils changing schools, special induction arrangements can be made and visits are always welcomed. The headteachers will be pleased to meet with you and show you around the school.
Our staff are very approachable and work to develop a strong partnership with parents at all stages as your child moves through our school. With all classes our school day is arranged to allow for any messages or information about your child to be passed to the teacher at the start and end of each day.
We have regular parents’ evenings, curriculum workshop events, termly class topic webs and newsletters to keep you informed. However, knowing that we are an open school with staff who are always available, forms the foundation of the home school partnership supporting each child .
Parent helpers are always welcome in school. Children benefit immensely from the experience and support of such helpers across the curriculum. If you would like to help in any way (for example with reading, swimming, art and craft, sporting and many more activities) please see your child’s teacher.
As a parent you are automatically part of our Parent Teacher Association which organises a range of fundraising events. This is a very active organisation and money raised directly benefits the children of our school. Find out more on our PTA page.
