School Meals Term 6

After the half-term break, because of the next phase of building, it will not be possible to provide any hot meals. B&NES Catering service will deliver, if required, a packed lunch for all children entitled to Free School Meals. These may also be purchased at a cost of £2 per meal. The current contents are as follows :

  •  A choice of sandwich with the following fillings: tuna, ham, cheese and egg, all with salad incorporated.
  •  A selection of two of the following: cucumber sticks, carrot sticks, sliced mixed peppers, celery sticks and cherry tomatoes.
  • A homemade cookie, flapjack or tray-bake.
  • Yeo Valley organic yogurt.
  • A piece of fruit.

The bread used will be wholemeal or granary and fresh water will be available daily. In addition we will be trialing a salad/fruit bar for the children to choose from.

If you wish to buy packed lunches for your child, or if your child is eligible for Free School Meals, we need to know numbers and on Monday of each week, along with your child’s daily choice of sandwich filling. We request that you please complete the choice slip and send payment as appropriate each Monday morning.

It is only possible to accommodate the choice of sandwich fillings listed above.  It is not possible to cater for any other likes/dislikes.

If your child suffers from any food intolerance, please discuss requirements with us.
