At Paulton Infant School we incorporate the THRIVE approach through whole school and focussed interventions. THRIVE helps children to develop socially and emotionally from birth through to adulthood and enables us to identify particular developmental needs through observations of children’s behaviour. Without the targeted interventions that are designed to support children’s particular developmental needs, children are unable to make adequate progress with their learning or suitably develop as a well-rounded individual. THRIVE is particularly useful for; supporting children’s recognition and appreciation of self and others, regulating emotions during times of distress and developing an appreciation of their own thoughts and emotions and being able to articulate them. We have specialist THRIVE work in school delivered by Mrs Perry and Mrs Blacker, our trained THRIVE practitioners.
